#1 – For a month now I have been able to run the entire 5.7 mile loop with 800′ of climbs on my weekly Wednesday Whiting Ranch outing. For the last few year, I was power hiking the final long uphill. Seems I now have the capability to trot it up all the way without any kind of special exertion required. I think it has been 7 or 8 years since I could do that??
This past Sunday I ran the 14.2 mile loop that goes up Shady Canyon, then up Bommer Canyon, across Bommer Ridge to Laguna Coast Wilderness, through the upper Nix nature center trails and back down Quail Hill to the start. I probably have that trail run loop 3 or 4 times a year since Bommer was finally opened to the public back in 2011 and enabled the full loop. Sometimes we do it in the reverse direction.
I had to dig through all my Garmin GPS data saved on the Garmin Connect website to verify my times over the years. They were all between 4 hrs and 5 minutes and 4 hrs and 14 minutes. Sunday I did it in 3:35:55 WTF (Why That’s Fascinating)!! This run included the usual photo stops with our lady trail running friends and other little breaks. The main difference was that I noticed that I could run up all the many steep rolling hills for quite a bit longer distance before having to switch to power walking mode.
Oh – the WTRS (Winter Trail Run Series) 12K race was on January 9th. Was my best time in 3 years. I did not feel like I was pushing hard either. Was enjoying my pace.

The first thing I noticed was the spots on the backs of my hand completely cleared up and disappeared. This was a very big deal because the spots were really small sores which caused me some pain and they were an unpleasant sight.
I had a bad bicycle accident in 1992 and sustained a high energy break to my right leg. I had a great doctor and was able to resume running and bicycling for many years. Unbeknownst to me, my leg had been “jammed” into my hip, causing deterioration of the hip joint. I began to experience joint pain in my hip and my doctor started advising me to consider hip replacement. This was three years ago. What is the preferred dose of TeloSC™ and when should it be taken?
If you are 125 pounds or less or in your 20s, then it may be best to only take one capsule of TeloSC per day preferably with a meal. For those over 125 pounds and over 30 years of age, we recommend two capsules per day preferably taken at breakfast and dinner. Note that the recommendation to take TeloSC at meals is not due to any problems with taking the supplement on an empty stomach. Rather, the pterostilbene in TeloSC acts as an insulin sensitizer to help glucose cross into your cells and thus reduces the spike in glucose and insulin that routinely occurs after a meal. It is also best to take the two capsules at different meals, as the 105 minute half-life of pterostilbene in the blood stream means that less of the insulin sensitizer is around after 4 hours and even less after 8 hours. That said, if you are one of the many people who can only remember to take your pills once per day, then it is best to take two capsules at the same time, preferably at one of your meals.

Much research has been done on Resveratrol and it has been in the news during the past few years. While the original experiment treating mice with resveratrol did generate somewhat longer lived mice, later experiments have given mixed results in extending mouse lifespan, as is also the case with longevity experiments in worms and fruit flies.
One likely reason for these variable results is that resveratrol is a very unstable compound with only a 14 minute half-life in the blood stream. In contrast, pterostilbene, a close resveratrol analog, has a half-life of 105 minutes (7.5 fold higher) and is one of the principle components found in TeloSC. This means that by the time you have lost 50% of pterostilbene, you have lost more than 99% of resveratrol! Moreover, neither resveratrol nor pterostilbene are very bioavailable without the proprietary technology used in TeloSC. While the pterostilbene is the most prevalent resveratrol analog in TeloSC, there is another potent resveratrol analog in TeloSC called marsupsin, which acts synergistically with pterostilbene.
